Gas Operations Department OverviewGas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers.
Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration, and emergency response.
Position SummaryThis position resides in the Gas Support Services organization.
It provides direct support to the Clerical and Leadership team for Gas Support Services.
In this role, you'll work with internal resources, interview our Line of Business Partners, and attend meetings to gather, write, and publish technical information for our Clerical Team and varied audiences.
You'll produce a variety of top-quality learning materials such as technical documentation, standard work, and training videos.
Translates complex procedural information based on business requirements and standards into user-friendly references such as Policy and Procedures, user manuals and job aids.
Collaborates with and gathers information from internal and external clients to develop documentation that is easy to understand and use.
Performs document editing, document lifecycle management, basic web setup and document publishing.
This position has a flexible work location open to all PG&E service territories.
The position core hours are M-F 7-3:
30pm.
Job ResponsibilitiesCreates, promotes, and manages a safety-first work environment and lean culture.
Successful implementation of Lean Philosophy and lean tools for continuous improvement.
Full understanding of technical/professional conceptsSelects from different methods, approaches, and tactics to achieve documentation goals and needsReceives little instruction on day-to-day work, Supervisor sets priorities and reviews work as needed.
Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
Monitor metrics on the usage of training materials as well as direct feedback to prioritize future training opportunities.
Develop visual process management tools.
Maintain our internal documentation systems, solving issues presented by external and internal customers.
Create in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, and 5MM documentation.
Manage the lifecycle of technical documentation including draft, review, and publish phases.
Regular communication and synchronization with the Manager for documentation and certification on all deliverables.
QualificationsMinimum:
BA/BS in English, Technical Writing, or related field; or equivalent work experienceJob-related experience, 2 yearsDesired:
Experience in process improvementExperience in project management, job-relatedProficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePointKnowledge of gas safety best practices and methodsTechnical Writing, or related field or work experience.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
